International Womens Day<\/strong> is here and it is important to celebrate everything women have accomplished. Its a day to share inspiring stories and have discussions on existing issues.<\/p>\n

Toronto is holding a number of events around the city in honour of International Womens Day. Browse the list below and we hope to see you attending one of the following events:<\/p>\n

International Womens Day Celebration – Immigrant Women in Business<\/a><\/span><\/h5>\n

Where: Toronto Region Board of Trade<\/p>\n

When: March 8th, 5:30 PM – 11:30 PM<\/p>\n

Description: “Event features 24 women speakers all from Toronto Canada with a diverse array of backgrounds will each talk for couple of minutes. The topic: How they are changing the world.”<\/p>\n

International Womens Day Gala<\/a><\/span><\/h5>\n

Where: Hart House Great Hall<\/p>\n

When: March 15th, 5:30 PM – 10 PM<\/p>\n

Description: “Come to meet inspirational women and students who never cease to fight for their place in STEM! We promise you great conversations, inspirational speakers, stunning performances, and a delicious dinner!”<\/p>\n

International Womens Day Celebration – Women in FinTech<\/a><\/span><\/h5>\n

Where: Oliver & Bonacini Caf\u00e9 Grill, Yonge & Front<\/p>\n

When: March 13th, 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM<\/p>\n

Description: “This event is open to people in Blockchain, FinTech, Financial Services and Technology – or if you just want to come and learn more about what it means to be in those fields.”<\/p>\n

International Womens Day – Scarborough Guildwood Womens Federal & Provincial Liberal Associations<\/a><\/span><\/h5>\n

Where: Centennial Recreation Centre-Scarborough<\/p>\n

Description: “Come celebrate International Womens Day with special guests: Hon. John McKay MP and MPP Mitzie Hunter. An evening of vibrant and interactive multicultural performances. Light refreshments will be served, complements of The Olde Stone Cottage Pub.”<\/p>\n

International Womens Day – Weston Frontlines Centre<\/a><\/span><\/h5>\n

Description: “Join us at Frontlines for an evening of women empowerment, light food & refreshments, inspirational speakers & entertainment.”<\/p>\n

Celebrating International Womens Day – Womens Writing Circle<\/a><\/span><\/h5>\n

Where: Rm AA160 -New Council Chamber Arts and Administration Building<\/p>\n

When: March 8th, 12 PM – 1:30 PM<\/p>\n

Description: “The Equity & Diversity Office, The Writing Centre (CTL), the Campus Safety Office, and the Academic Advising & Career Centre invite you to attend the Womens Writing Circle. Collaboratively presented with the UTSC Women\u2019s and Trans Centre, we welcome UTSC staff, faculty and students who identify as women or trans people to celebrate International Women\u2019s Day!”<\/p>\n

Description: “The Broadview Hotel invites guests to join them on International Women\u2019s Day for a cocktail and speaker panel event. The panel, moderated by Samora Smallwood, a Toronto-based actor and co-chair of ACTRA\u2019s Diversity Committee, will feature prominent female business owners and residents from the city\u2019s east end, who will discuss culture, community and female-run businesses.”<\/p>\n
