Max Agency would like to introduce one of the newest additions to our roster: Amanda J.!

Amanda has a real passion for life! She enjoys learning new things everyday, including meeting new people and exploring different cultures. She is an outgoing individual who loves sports and the outdoors.

Her friends would describe her as caring, thoughtful and a true friend. She is a loving daughter to her parents and baby sister to her two older brothers. Her family and friends are extremely important to her!

Ever since she was a little girl, people would approach her mother and say things like “your daughter should take up modeling, or acting, singing or dancing…” And now that shes grown up and an adult, she would like to seriously give it a try.

“I believe some things are worth going after — if you have the confidence and passion to do so,” Amanda says.

Showcase Saturday – Jessica B!

Welcome back to Showcase Saturday here at Max Agency —  a successful model and talent management agency in Canada representing men, women and children.

This week we will be featuring the talented and unique, Jessica B!

An introduction to Jessica:

“Hello! My name is Jessica. I was born and raised here in Canada. I went to school for environmental science. I am passionate about the environment and living a sustainable life. My party trick is tree identification… I can identify 200 types of trees in Ontario winter and summer conditions!”

How she got involved in acting/modelling:

“I got into modelling/acting because a year ago a director asked me to be in her show and I had so much fun I thought why not give this a go?!”

Her experience with MAX so far?

“So far my experience with Max has be great. They have all shown me such kindness and professionalism. They have helped me along the way to help me be successful. I have truly appreciated it.”

How Jessica spends her free time:

“I am a very creative person and spend most of my time playing my ukulele. I bring it everywhere with me incase I get a second to play…I just cant put it down. I enjoy singing sad songs because the contrast of the happy ukulele and the sad words is beautiful to me.

I also paint pictures of all the crazy ideas that I have. And finally I spend a lot of time in front of the camera. Where I collaborate with photographers to tell a story or send a powerful message (a picture is worth 1000 words).”

Her best advice for someone looking to get into the industry?

“My best advice is practice practice practice. Look into yourself and find love for yourself. Confidence is key. Throw yourself into everything with all youve got and youll go a long way.”

Winter Fashion Hacks Everyone Should Know!

With winter approaching and the cold weather already at our doorsteps, Max Agency has gathered a list of the best winter fashion hacks to keep you warm while also staying on trend this winter!

#1. Make your tights last longer by freezing them. Run the tights under cold water, put them in a plastic bag and into the freezer they go! Let them thaw the next day and they are ready to be worn. This process strengthens the fibres of the tights to last.

#2. Soften your itchy sweaters with water and hair conditioner. Create a mixture of water and conditioner to slather the sweater in and let it sit for an hour. Then rinse it and let it air dry. Your sweater will be much less itchy on your skin.

#3. Fold your knitted clothing instead of hanging them to avoid stretching and loosing shape. Check out a neat way to fold your sweaters onto a hanger below from Cosmopolitan:

#4. Remove bad odours from your boots with tea bags. Leave a few dry teabags in your boots overnight to soak up the bad odours and moisture.

#5. If your clothes get covered in little annoying fuzzies, simply run a razor lightly over the clothing to remove them.

#6. Still want to wear those cute summer outfits? Layer up! Wear a turtleneck under your outfit or leggings under your ripped jeans. Find a way to layer and still look cute!
