"I received the script from my agent and had to send a self-tape the next day! I do
not have the best memory and work full-time so I use the below tricks to help me
learn it as much and as fast as I can.
Tricks to help memorizing lines

1)Write out your lines (yes, just like in school) and speak each word as you
write it

2)Once you are comfortable with the dialogue, then work on characterization and
emotion

3)Record a video of yourself speaking so that you can hear what you sound like
and you can listen to it on repeat 

4)Learning dialogue before bed or before walking helps to retain the
information

Talent Showcase Saturday – Loreque F.

Welcome back to Showcase Saturday here at MAX Agency —  a successful Toronto acting agency representing men, women and children.

 

This week we’ll be showcasing a uniquely talented member of our roster –Loreque F! 

Her Beginnings

My name is Loreque Fearon and I’m 17 years old. I was born in Jamaica and grew up there as well, and moved to Canada when I was 7. I go to Earl Haig Secondary School for the Claude Watson Arts program, and in the program I major in Dance. For the most part it is mainly Modern and Ballet but we have different Artists teaching us a variety of styles. I’ve been dancing since I was 8 and haven’t stopped since.

“How did you get into modelling/acting?”

I got into modelling because of a shoot I did with Mimp Magazine, and I really enjoyed myself and had a lot of fun so I wanted to try it out professionally.

His Experience with MAX Agency

My experience with Max has been pretty good so far, I’ve had the opportunity to do a shoot with CP24’s CHUM Christmas wish for a commercial and it was really cool to see the behind the scenes of that process.

Extracurriculars 

In my spare time I like to unwind and relax because I have a very busy schedule so I meditate and do yoga at least once a week, or I like to write. I also enjoy going for jogs in the park, or going to the gym.

Her Dream Role

I haven’t really thought about what I would want as a dream role because I like stepping outside my comfort zone and trying new things, but I would say to be the “mean girl” would be interesting because it’s the complete opposite of me.


“Best advice for someone looking to get into the industry? or best advice you’ve received?”

Something I would tell someone looking to get into modelling is that they always need to give 110% at whatever job, audition, tryout they’re in. Because if you only give half of what you have that doesn’t make the best first impression, and you probably look weirder than you feel. So relax and do your best! My acting coach Andrew also told my class that even though our agency is booking jobs for us it is also important that we look for ourselves to build our own platform.

Extra

I also think it’s important for everyone in the industry to remember to be patient, because recognition takes time, but it’s worth it and in the meantime just have fun!
