Our talent spotlight is for Angelica B!

Angelica is a flight attendant by profession with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication. She majored in Media and Performing Arts. 

She thought that media and acting would be the path where shed grow but when she started modeling at 17, she enjoyed being in front of the camera, dressing up, glamming up and working with different amazing people in the industry.

Angelica started working in the Fashion and Clothing industry and earned a diploma in Fashion Merchandising. Her love for clothing and fashion inspired her to teach herself how to sew, so she did that during the pandemic. 

She is even planning to launch her online store to sell pieces that shes created!

Angelica was invited by Max Agency to join our roster. While pursuing a job position at the agency, she was offered to be represented by us as a model/actor instead. From this experience, Angelica shares, “I learned that you may not succeed with what you want, it doesnt mean that it wasnt for you. It only means that something better is coming for you.”

Aside from enjoying her fun and challenging career as a flight attendant, she loves reading books, self-help books in particular. Her go-to recommendation is The Four Agreements. As she is a summer person who loves traveling to tropical places, she enjoys the warmth of the sun by tanning while reading books.

To stay healthy and keep younger-looking skin, Angelica makes sure that she gets enough sleep. She has also started kickboxing as her workout of choice. She also shares that eating healthy and drinking lots of water is a must.

Angelica shared her goal for 2022, “To improve my cooking skills, at least a little. Lol. Of course, don’t forget to stay happy! I know life is hard and stressful but it shouldn’t be like that all the time, isnt it? And remember that you always have a choice :)”

“Max agency really helped me get my foot in the door of modeling and acting again. I almost gave up my interest in this field because of so many rejections and failed auditions but I told myself that I actually love and am good with what I am doing so why give up now?

It takes hard work and time to be successful in something but if you believe in yourself and are dedicated that you can achieve anything as long as you put your mind and heart to it, nothing is impossible. I am so thrilled about the next projects that are coming in the future. I am looking forward to booking more commercials, print ads, and projects with Max Agency.”

Model Agency Toronto – Talent Spotlight – Katerina R.

Maxs Talent Spotlight of the day is beautiful entrepreneur, model and actor, Katerina R.

Katerina moved to Canada with her parents in 1993 from Ukraine and now has her own makeup & hair services business, Katerina Rapoport Inc. She talked to us about her journey!

Katerina and her parents arrived in Canada without knowing a word of English, which made it a tough journey. Her first part-time job was to flip burgers at a Harveys restaurant. After a few years, at the age of 18, she became restaurant manager, an achievement that she was very happy about.

She has always been creative and liked to be crafty with her hands. Shes created over 300 paintings in her lifetime. After high school, she studied graphic design at George Brown College. She graduated from the 3-year program with her diploma but did not pursue a career in the field.

She started working in the financial industry for CitiBank while she was in college and worked there from 1999 to 2006. Although she liked her job and especially her pay, it did not fulfill her creative side.

Katerina also did some modeling in her early twenties which she really liked. She participated in editorial/fashion style shoots and bridal shows.

Her last corporate job was at Toronto Star as a digital property manager of their online products. She worked there for 3 years while also exploring her interest in makeup art. She took a course and started to work part-time as a bridal makeup artist.

Katerina followed her big passion for makeup artistry and decided to register her small company. That same year, Toronto Star laid off thousands of employees and she lost that job. She took it as an opportunity to focus on her business. She never looked back.

Katerinas other passion is cooking and eating out at delicious restaurants. She loves to create beautiful and delicious food. Her favourite cuisines are French, Italian, and Mediterranean. She loves fresh seafood and fresh ingredients. Find her foodie Instagram page @nosubstitutionslife

She loves to travel and has been to England, Amsterdam, Paris, Bali, Singapore, New York, Miami, Philadelphia, Aruba, St Martin, And the Canadian East Coast. Katerina has travelled to many destinations, but Paris is still her favourite for the fabulous views and food.

This year, Katerina decided to get back into modeling and try acting as she loves being in front of the camera. She aspires to be part of a great Netflix series or to play a secret agent/spy/ bond girl style role. She also sees herself in a reality show. Our Talent Spotlight of the day is for Natalie B!

Max talent, Natalie B, is part of the Elite team of actors at Studio West.

Natalie is a creative person at heart but did not get the chance to follow her passions when she was growing up as her parents were against creative career areas. So she abandoned the idea and took Computer Electronics after high school.

She enjoyed a successful career and realized her dream of having her own engineering business. Along the way, she had creative outlets in the form of writing stories, drawing portraits, painting, designing dresses for clients, designing floral arrangements for weddings, and exploring photography. She also did ballroom dancing as she wanted a chance to be in front of an audience.

Natalie feels a lack of confidence in all aspects of her life when she looks in the mirror. This stems from her childhood- having no other kids of Asian descent in her grade school or high school for the longest time, except for her and her siblings. Natalie recalls,”
It didnt bother me so much as it made me aware that I was different in how I looked and therefore not attractive in the normal sense.

Long story short, as a personal joke, I submitted my photo to Max Agency when I saw an ad. This was my way of challenging the universe. I was very surprised when I received a call to meet with an agent. I agreed to meet but in my mind, I still questioned why.”

It has also reignited my need to write. Even if I never win an Oscar for acting or writing the best screenplay, Ive already won being a part of a talented and wonderful group of artists. It is after all the journey that counts the most.”
