Toronto Acting Agency’s Audition Highlights

At Toronto talent management agency, MAX Agency, our talented roster of actors and models has been busy with auditions this week, showcasing their skills and charisma to land exciting roles. We are thrilled to share some of the highlights with you!

Stephan K, Jorgia L, Jason A, and Parry Z all auditioned for commercials, bringing their unique talents and personalities to the casting rooms. In addition to the commercial auditions, we had Jordan C auditioning for a captivating docu-drama and Taiba S trying out for a thrilling mini-series.

Born and raised in Toronto Ontario, with a European and Métis background, Kelly W. wants to help inspire others to achieve their goals.

“Modeling is my second chance to fulfill my dream. I’m a very creative person and I have many creative hobbies include baking, cooking, sewing, dancing and acting. I bring a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.”

With a 6 year strong modeling experience, Ankita has 9 beauty pageant titles! She has worked with brands like Tony and Guy, London, L’Oreal Paris, and Mercedes Benz. She was the Cover girl of the Ornate Magazine and was featured in renowned magazines like Grazia UK.

Myra is a natural in front of the camera!

“I am 3 years old. I enjoy dancing, singing and posing in front of the camera. I am taking dance classes and learning ice skating. I am a very fast learner and good listener. My teachers say that I am definitely a leader in class.

I am looking forward to be in front of the camera for modeling and acting and build a lovely relationship with MAX Agency. I am sure there will be a lot to learn and I am super excited for it.”

Five-year-old Jannat is full of energy and whether there’s rain or sunshine, she always looks forward to her outdoor time due to her love for nature and fun of course!

While she enjoys making new friends, dancing and swimming, at home she can be a bossy elder sister and a bit of a trouble maker! Nevertheless, Jannat is a joy to have around and is always willing to learn.

Toronto modeling – Maya T.

Maya is a singer/artist under the name Maya Zita. Se has released 2 records- available on Spotify and Apple Music, with music videos in which she is featured. She has experience modeling for magazine shoots and runway. Maya is now looking to explore acting.

Toronto Acting Agency – Kids Acting Agency Toronto – Audition Tips For Parents

It can be difficult for parents to help children with auditions without knowledge of the industry or acting. Parents usually want their little talents to have fun but also book jobs so that they feel successful. The following tips may help to create this balance.

1. Let Kids be Kids

Casting directors want actors who will be real and authentic. When they are looking to fill a role for a 10-year-old, they want an actor who behaves like a 10-year-old. While teaching your kids to behave and to be polite are great life lessons, casting directors want to see the kids be kids when in the casting room. 

2. Avoid Making Them Read Their Lines Too Much

Prioritize explaining the character to them. Once their imagination has created the life and personality of the character, you may then have them practice lines. 

3. Support Them To Love the Creation Process and Not Focus on Booking

You cannot guarantee whether they will book or not. As mentioned on our blog before, a lot of reasons may cause casting directors to choose someone else- age, ethnicity, eye color. It is all about the vision that they have for the character. Encourage your child to enjoy the process of creating and auditioning. 

4. Let Their Personality Show

Casting directors want to see child actors who are free and enjoying the work, not controlled actors. Let them shine.

5. Prepare Them With Acting Workshops

They need to be around other child actors to grow, create and be confident. Do not wait for an audition to train them as it may be too late then. You want them prepared when that comes along and that happens with consistent training. 

6. Agents, Managers, and Casting Directors

Trust the way that the industry works and respect the time of their agent/managers and the casting directors after an audition. While checking in with their agent regularly is encouraged, do not try to contact them persistently. Trust that they are putting in the time to find work for your child and will reach out as soon as they have updates.
