Welcome back to Showcase Saturday here at MAX Agency —  a successful Toronto talent agency representing men, women and children.

This week we’ll be showcasing a lovely talent on our roster: 

 Susana M!

An introduction to Susana:

“I was born in Lima and grew up in Arequipa, Peru. I’m excited for the new opportunities being Canadian and living in Toronto. I’m a Nutritionist and I completed my education at the University of Havana, Cuba. I am also a professional model as I studied at Geraldine Modelling School, Lima, Peru. I enjoy my healthy and fit lifestyle. I also had the opportunity to have my own business “Santo Remedio de mi Abuela” (Holy Recipes from my Grandma). I am working to bring this nutrition service here.”

How did you get into modelling/acting?

“When I was sixteen, I was recruited by a modeling agency in Arequipa, Peru and later in Lima, and worked as an brand Ambassador for major brands such as Coca Cola, L’Oreal, Lucky Strike and Pert Plus. I enjoyed a few acting courses as well being part of Pilots and TV experiences.”

How has your experience been with MAX Agency?

“I’m really impressed with the MAX team. They are very responsive, and my agent is so helpful and supportive. Im very happy being part of the MAX family. The people from the auditions were always great and very enjoyable. A nice memory I have was a photoshoot for a Canadian brand, it was great and relaxed. At the end, the photographer said it was very easy and fun to work with me. That really helped me to be more confident and taught me how to reach my model goals successfully.”

What do you like to do in your spare time? 

“Im a Humanitarian woman and I believe in Love, Faith and Hope. I love giving back to the community and enjoy social work. I enjoy reading, going to the theatre and concerts. I love to travel and explore new places. My idea is “Spend my time and energy in something/someone that makes me happier.“”

What is your dream role?

“I like all roles that challenge me and push me out of my comfort zone. I live life to the fullest and having different acting roles help me to grow and improve myself in any area in my life.”

Best advice for someone looking to get into the industry?

“My advice is to grow and improve yourself every day, and be determined to succeed. The best advice I got was from my grandma: “Invest in your health. Being healthy is the real wealth“. I’m sure that both these pieces of advice are still helping me to stand up and be good in this modeling industry.”
