The booking season for Film/TV is until October. If you havent already done your homework to increase your chances, you should get to that ASAP.
1. Update Your Resume and Headshots
These are your most important materials as that is the first impression that casting directors get of you. Make sure to update your resume after every job that you book. If it has been over a year, and your headshots didnt get you good results, think about getting new photos. Your headshots should reflect how you currently look on a good day and they should show the type of character that you could portray.
Every actor should have a few headshots to show different sides of themselves. They are so worth the investment.
2. Refine Your Acting Skills

3. Do Your Research
Every TV show has a different feel. To successfully audition for a part, you need to have a good understanding of the shows pace, story, and overall style. Do your research before your audition to avoid being off-brand.
4. Level Up the Quality of Your Self-tapes
Poor self-tapes will lead to no booking. If you want to stand out and be able to show your acting skills properly, your self-tapes must be of good quality. Good lighting and sound are a must. Invest in a good mic and make sure that there are no shadows.
