Lisa Fonssagrives is considered to be the first modern supermodel, flourishing in her career between 1935 to 1950. Lisa moved to Paris to be a dancer and got involved in modeling while there. Eventually she moved to the United States and appeared on fashion magazines such as Vogue.

Anna Nicole Smiths real name before gaining popularity from appearing in Playboy was Vickie Lynn Hogan. In fact, she used the name Vickie Smith for her first ever centrefold in Playboy before deciding on Anna Nicole Smith a few months after.

Fabio served in the Italian Army for 2 years before becoming a model. He began his career in Italy before moving to the United States and getting signed immediately by an agency.

In 1956, Suzy Parker became the first model to earn $100,000 in a year. During her career she appeared on many magazine covers as well as acting in a number of films and television shows.

Jamie Dornan was first discovered on a television show called Model Behaviour. He did not start gaining success right away but eventually got work with Calvin Klein, Christian Dior and more recently became a successful actor as well.
