In honour of National Lash Day on February 19th, here are some eyelash tips and tricks to remember when getting ready!

Mix colours for a natural look

Use two different shades of mascara to create a more natural look since most eyelashes naturally have a gradient to start with.

Heat your curler for longer lasting curl

Heat your curler with a hair dryer or soak it in hot water for a few seconds. 

Curl eyelashes before applying mascara

Never curl your eyelashes after applying mascara as it will cause breakage to your lashes. 

Layer 

Apply your regular mascara and then go over top with a water proof mascara. 

Add makeup remover to dry mascara

Adding a few drops of an alcohol based makeup remover will bring your dry mascara back to life.

Reuse fake eyelashes

Gently clean the lashes after use with a Q-tip and makeup remover before storing them in a safe place for multiple uses.

Apply mascara on the tops and bottoms of your lashes

Do this to create a fuller look.

User mascara as an eyeliner

Swipe your eyeliner brush over your mascara wand to pick up the product and use it as eyeliner.

Apply mascara before false lashes

Having mascara applied before allows you to push and squeeze your real lashes with the fake ones so they sit well together and it looks more natural.
