The warm weather is finally beginning to show itself and that means summer is almost here. If your New Years Resolution to get healthier has been taking a back seat thus far in 2019, there is still time to get in shape before bikini season begins!

Here are MAX Agencys Top Tips for Getting your Dream Summer Bod:

Lower your sodium intake. Salt is your enemy so you want to cut it out as best you can. Avoid processed foods and always check the ingredients before you purchase.

Drink lots of water. Water not only helps your metabolism but it keeps your skin looking hydrated. Staying hydrated is a must to achieve your dream summer body.

Get active. Adults should be getting at least 2-3 hours of physical activity a week. Go to the gym, take some fun classes or even start taking the stairs at work. If you want the fat to disappear, youve got to burn it off!

Get enough sleep. Adults should be getting at least 7 hours of sleep a night to function properly. To ensure your body is at its healthiest, give it a proper rest.

Meal prep. When youve planned healthy meals for the week theres no excuse to not eat clean. Theres no need to grab quick take out meals or unhealthy snacks.

How to Stay Beautiful in the Rain!

Due to the rainy May weve been having, today MAX will be sharing some Beauty Tips for when its Raining!

  • Wear your hair up in a bun or ponytail so there is less chance of it getting wet. You can also use an anti-frizz spray or hair spray to keep it under control.

  • Wear waterproof makeup products and go for a more natural look incase your face gets wet to avoid colours running.

  • Cover up! Wear a trench coat and rubber boats to ensure your entire outfit stays dry– make them cute! Also bring an umbrella for that extra protection from the down pour.

EyeLash Tips and Tricks

In honour of National Lash Day on February 19th, here are some eyelash tips and tricks to remember when getting ready!

Mix colours for a natural look

Use two different shades of mascara to create a more natural look since most eyelashes naturally have a gradient to start with.

Heat your curler for longer lasting curl

Heat your curler with a hair dryer or soak it in hot water for a few seconds. 

Curl eyelashes before applying mascara

Never curl your eyelashes after applying mascara as it will cause breakage to your lashes.

Apply your regular mascara and then go over top with a water proof mascara. 

Add makeup remover to dry mascara

Adding a few drops of an alcohol based makeup remover will bring your dry mascara back to life.
